Conceptual Signage System
Ezqualo es una agencia mexicana de publicidad que comenzó como una empresa pequeña y creció hasta el punto que una nueva sede fue necesaria. Las nuevas oficinas tenían un estilo industrial y contemporáneo. La señalización no solo debía ser práctica y fácil de aplicar, además, debía estar en concordancia con el estilo arquitectónico del edificio y sobre todo ser una extensión del estilo comunicativo de la agencia como parte de su identidad.
El tipo de señales permitió que fuera de muy bajo costo y ser reproducido casi de manera artesanal al ser directamente aplicado sobre el concreto con la colaboración de un ilustrador.
Este sistema señalético se convirtió no solamente en una referencia para que los visitantes se desplazaran entre las diferentes zonas de la oficina, sino también fue un reflejo de la particular forma de ver las cosas que la agencia tiene.Lo mejor de la experiencia fue ver cómo reaccionaban los clientes y visitantes ante las señales, la mayoría se detenía con curiosidad a ver las señales y seguían su camino mientras sonreían.

The new offices were built with an industrial and contemporary architectural style. The signage system should only be practical and simple to apply, also it had to be in tune with the building’s architecture style, but first and foremost it must be an extension of the agency’s voice tone and communication style towards its clients and collaborators as part of its identity.
The design allowed that the signage system implementation was executed with very low costs as the signs were applied in an almost craft way, being painted by hand directly on the concrete walls with the collaboration of an illustration artist.
This signage system was more than an information tool to move between places inside the building, it became a statement of a different and peculiar way of seeing things.The best part of this project was seeing how visitors and clients reacted to the signs, most of them curiously stopped to take a look at the signs and then smiled while they walked to another part of the building.
